Cajon del Maipo

El Morado in Cajón del Maipo 

"The route crosses the valley of Cajón del Maipo.  Trekking tour destination is the mountain El Morado and the San Francisco glacier.

Our 1st stop on our way through Maipo Valley to start our hike was the Ghost town of El Volcan. It used to be a thriving community until an earthquake destroyed the copper mine which meant the men couldn't work.
